The Wider Spectrum Group welcomes the outcome of WRC-23 on UHF-Band (sub band 470-694 MHz) as Broadcasting retains exclusive primary allocation in the Table in Region 1. Exceptions are by footnotes. We note the footnote for a possible secondary allocation to mobile in Europe. We will follow the work of RSPG and ask regulators to prevent any negative effect on Broadcasting and PMSE –in full respect of the EU UHF Decision 2017/899. We welcome that this issue shall not be rediscussed before WRc-31, as the stability in UHF spectrum allocation in Europe brings many benefits in terms of public service, innovation, investment and employment.
